ENTOMOLOGY & ART

Drawing is a passion of mine as well as my love of insects- especially bees. I delight in learning about and identifying as many different bees as I can, and have attended several bee identification workshops in the U.S. Artistically rendering insects melds perfectly with my interest in taxonomy: Both require great care and attention to the finest details and accuracy. 

Using specimens, my microscope, and photographs, I create realistic illustrations of insects using traditional methods such as graphite (black and white), ink (stippling), or colored pencils and inks.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design (Flagler College) and a Master of Science degree in Entomology (University of Florida).
