Sparkle Anthidium with Roses in Rose Frame
Anthidium manicatum (European Wool Carder Bee) female, nestled in between various roses (maybe some peonies in there; no one knows for sure). Thrifted this gold frame made with rose vines and briefly debated whether or not maybe it was tacky, decided it was awesome, but had no idea what to put in it. I didn’t have any art that spoke to me. Fretting that roses would either be redundant or perfect, I experimented and was happy with this result. Add some sparkle for the final touch because it’s 2023. It can be hung on a wall or propped on a shelf. So versatile! Outer dimensions of the frame: 6.75"x 5.25"; print is about 5"x 3.5".
This item is part of my Sparkle and Shine collection! In the spirit of Earth Day, I thrifted frames and re-used as much of the materials (backing boards, hanging hardware, etc.) as possible. Image has been selected and sized just for this frame, printed on Epson velvet fine art paper, sprayed with UV protective coating, shimmery paint added and signed by me- each item in this collection is one of a kind! As with all prints, please keep out of direct sunlight for longevity.
