Wool Carder Bee Mama- original colored pencil drawing (Framed)
Framed original drawing of a female wool carder bee (Anthidium manicatum) doing the very activity for which she was named: Scraping the trichomes (soft, downy plant fibers) from a Rose Campion stem and rolling them into a soft ball. She will line her baby bee nursery with these fuzzy balls to keep them warm while the young develop over the fall and winter months. Solitary bees are such hard working mamas!
The original drawing is a little larger than 8"x10", completed with colored pencils, pastels, and ink.
The outer dimensions of the frame are 14"x17". Frame is white painted wood
